The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is a sub-committee of the Community Alliance for Prevention. The Youth Advisory Committee is a diverse group of high school students, developing leadership skills and making a positive impact on the community through substance abuse prevention activities. 

The Youth Advisory Committee visions our community working together to support healthy choices so our community members can build healthy, safe and successful lives free of the challenges associated with substance use.

YAC members have the opportunity to:

• Learn about the risk and protective factors related to alcohol and other drug use.

• Learn about prevention strategies.

• Plan and implement two National Prevention Week activities related to the prevention of underage drinking and prescription drug misuse.
